Serena Marchesi is a Post-Doc researcher at the Social Cognition in Human-Robot Interaction (S4HRI) group, coordinated by Dr. Agnieszka Wykowska.
Serena obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Manchester, in collaboration with IIT under the supervision of Prof. Angelo Cangelosi and Dr. Agnieszka Wykowska. Moreover, Serena won the A*STAR Research Attachment Programme (ARAP) research award, which allowed her to spend more than a year at the Agency for Science, Technology and, Research (A*STAR) in Singapore, under the supervision of Dr. Wu Yan. Previously, Serena obtained a second level Post Graduate Master in Clinical Neuroscience at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, under the supervision of Prof. Michela Balconi and a Master Degree in Cognitive Science and Decision-Making Processes at the Universitá Statale in Milan.
Serena's research interests focus on the social and moral cognition processes involved in human-human and human-robot interaction, and how individual and cultural differences can affect them.
